Welcome to Something New

Welcome to my first serious attempt at blogging. I’ve tried to do this in the past with little success–mostly due to time constraints and blog topics that didn’t hold my attention for long. While those mis-starts may seem like failures to some, I prefer to see them as part of the elimination process as I honed in on what I wanted to blog about.

Over the last several years I have worked as the editor in chief of a small publishing house and have edited several New York Times and Amazon Best Sellers. I am an avid book enthusiast. Currently I am in the midst of launching my freelance career as an editor and have decided it’s time to blog about what I love–books and writing. Anything from classic and historical to thriller and romance interest me. I read self-published as well as traditionally published books because you never know where that hidden gems will be. So my reviews will be an eclectic mix. I might blog about the occasional movie if the need to gush about a wonderful flick arises… or any other topics that catch my eye.

Slaughter-House Five or The Children’s Crusade by Kurt Vonnegut is my current read. I will save my opinions on that book for another post after I’ve finished it. So stay tuned. Hopefully my ramblings will be of interest to someone beyond my family and close friends.

Happy Readings!

  1. Welcome back to the Blogosphere! 🙂 Nice title!

Try not to feel constrained by the blog. If you need to express yourself on something off topic, most readers are cool with that.

    Good to see you.

    • Thanks for your support, Sandi. I’m excited to see where this takes me. I’m also excited to read more about the discussion you and Lissa have going about The Vikings. I love that show but am a little behind watching the episodes. Guess I’d better watch what I’ve recorded so I’m all caught up!

  2. Woopwoop, I’m curious 🙂

  3. You’re the coolest chick alive!!
